Owen falls at home to McDowell

The Owen Warhorses fell to 1-3 on the season with a 13-3 loss to the McDowell Titans at home on Sept. 16. The Warhorses were led in rushing by sophomore quarterback Kendrick Weaver and senior wide receiver Waleed Kahlil (pictured) was the team’s leading receiver with 3 receptions for 24 yards.

Owen hosts Avery County High School (2-3) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, for homecoming.
