Local gymnasts chosen for Olympic-level training

Three premier gymnasts from OSEGA Gymnastics in Swannanoa have been chosen to attend the U.S. Olympic Training Center in New Waverly, Texas.

Sophie Van Arnam, 9, Bryn Bartman, 10, and Elizabeth Moore, 12, were chosen as part of only 50 gymnasts from throughout the United States. Valeri Luiken, director of the U.S. Junior National Team, invited the gymnasts after viewing video submissions. The three were each identified as some of the best in the country in their respective age groups.
