Casting your ballot early? Here's how to find where to vote early in Iowa
Early voting began in Iowa Monday, giving voters the opportunity to begin casting their ballots for the 2020 general election either by mail or in person.
Iowa's county auditors will offer in-person early voting at their county courthouses or election offices through Nov. 2. Election Day is Nov. 3.
Some auditors have also chosen to set up satellite early voting locations, often at churches or local government buildings like libraries. The schedules and availability of these locations will vary by county.
If you're looking for where to vote early, check with your local county auditor's office by calling them or going to their website. You can look up your county auditor's contact information on the Iowa Secretary of State's website.

County auditors also on Monday began mailing out absentee ballots to Iowans who have decided to vote by mail. As of Friday, more than 630,000 Iowans had submitted ballot request forms.
To vote by mail, voters must fill out an absentee ballot request form and submit it to their county auditor by 5 p.m. on Oct. 24, 10 days before the election.
The ballots themselves must be received by the county auditor by the time polls close on Election Day or be postmarked by the day before the election and received by the auditor by noon on the Monday following the election.
