Riley Boone Sluder, age 79, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Mr. Sluder was born on Oct. 26, 1939, in Buncombe County, to the late Clyde Sluder and Fannie Foster Sluder.

He worked as an auto mechanic and was retired. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sluder was preceded in death by his brothers, Rex Sluder, Clyde Ray Sluder and Van Sluder; and sisters, Glenna Rubino and Mildred Culbertson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty years, Iris Hamlin Sluder, of the home; a brother, Bill Sluder of Leicester; seven nephews; and nine nieces.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Sluder will be held at a later date and a tree will be planted in honor of him as well.
