Jytte Hansen, 89, of Black Mountain passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018.
Mrs. Hansen was born July 7, 1929 in Denmark.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Mikkel Hansen of Black Mountain; children, Annette Hansen and Lars Hansen both of Minnesota; sister, Hanne Holck of Denmark and grandsons, Otto, Alexander, and Jasper.

Annie "Mickey" Rodgers

Annie “Mickey” Rodgers, 91, of Swannanoa passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018.
Mrs. Rodgers was born Nov. 8, 1926 in Georgia to the late Paul and Ruby Aiken Powell. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and sewing. Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Buckeye Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Harmon Rodgers; daughter, Pat Stines; son, Bruce Rodgers; two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Bryant (Terry) and Paula Rodgers all of Swannanoa; brother, Herschel Powell of Winterville, GA; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Oct. 21, at Buckeye Baptist Church, where Rev. Stanley Taylor and Rev. Mike Cribbs officiated.
Burial was in Sky View Memorial Park.
