Jimmie Lonnie Treadway, 87, of Swannanoa, passed away peacefully at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center on July 4, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Jimmie was born March 13, 1931 in Madison County. He retired from Georgia Pacific, but many people counted on him as the best handyman around.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marie Treadway; wife of 64 years, Kathleen Treadway; sister, Helen Higgins; son, Gary Treadway; and grandson, Joshua Treadway.

Jimmie is survived by his brother, Eugene Treadway; sons, Mike, Randy, and Jeff Treadway; daughters, Marsha Burnette and Martie Thomas; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he was known to as Papaw.

A service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals.
