Church holds its Children's Decoration Day

Children's Decoration Day at Tabernacle United Methodist Church will be from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 at the church, 385 Tabernacle Road, Black Mountain. All children are welcome. There will be story time, crafts - and lunch is provided. For more, contact Stephen Troy at 828-702-6841.

Have breakfast (and a photo) with Santa

The Black Mountain Moose Family Center invites everyone to have breakfast with Santa from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 at the center, 3049 Old U.S. 70-E, Black Mountain. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be there to hear each child's Christmas wish list. Every child receives a gift and can have their photo taken with Santa. Adults and children 10 and above eat for $5. Garren Creek Fire Department has nuts for sale

The Garren Creek Fire Department Auxiliary has nuts for sale. These are the new crop, just harvested, and are great for holiday baking and healthy snacks.
