Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

May 19

Larceny was reported on the 200 block of West State Street.

Robbery was reported on the 400 block of West State Street.

May 20

Breaking and entering with force was reported on the 300 block of Bee Tree Road.

May 21

Aggravated assault and drug violations were reported on the 2800 block of U.S. 70.

May 23

Larceny was reported on the 3000 block of U.S. 70.

Breaking and entering and larceny were reported on the 100 block of South Park Lane.

Fraud was reported on the 100 block of Westwood Avenue.

May 24

Larceny of a firearm was reported on the first block of Julian Drive.

Larceny was reported on the 700 block of North Cherokee Avenue.

Breaking and entering, larceny, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule I controlled substance and resisting, delaying or obstructing were reported on the 100 block of East College Street.

Arrests

May 15

Laurie Jade Edney, 27, of Arden, was arrested on North Fork Road and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than half an ounce and possession of heroin.

May 18

Christa Lynn Ramsey, 27, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Hutchins Road and North Fork Road and charged with six counts of obtaining property by false pretense, failure to heed lights or sirens, resisting public officers, aggressive driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, lane change signal violation, possession of drug paraphernalia and fleeing arrest with a motor vehicle.

May 20

Jessica Lynn Carter, 27, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 200 block of Harrison Avenue on a civil order for arrest.

May 21

Robbie Von Lyndon Carter, 28, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 2900 block of U.S. 70 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana less than half an ounce.

May 23

Michael Steven Parker, 32, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Springdale Road and charged with simple assault.

Brittany Heather Tuesday Gann, 33, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Springdale Road and charged with assault on a child under the age of 12 and simple affray.
