Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these incidents and arrests.
Incidents
May 12
Felony drug offense was reported on the 400 block of Asheville Road.
May 14
Misdemeanor breaking or entering was reported on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road.
Two counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, carrying a concealed gun and possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance were reported at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Cragmont Road.
Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and prostitution were reported on the 600 block of West State Street.
May 15
Possession of heroin, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no liability insurance were reported at the intersection of North Fork Road and Genesis Circle.
Fraud was reported on the first block of Village Parkway.
May 16
Fraud was reported on the 100 block of Cherry Street.
May 17
Larceny was reported on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road.
May 18
Possession of a weapon on school grounds was reported on the 100 block of Bee Tree Road.
Fleeing to elude arrest, lane change violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to heed light or siren, resisting a public officer, aggressive driving and failure to stop at a stop sign were reported at the intersection of North Fork Road and Genesis Circle.
Assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer and six counts of obtaining property by false pretense were reported on Genesis Circle.
Arrests
May 7
Arielle Renee Hendrick, 26, of Aiken, S.C., was arrested on the 500 block of West State Street and charged with driving while impaired.
May 8
Kerry Dewayne Dunbar, 39, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 200 block of West College Street and charged with assault on a female.
May 9
Stephen Leon Hall, 36, of Old Fort, was arrested on the 3000 block of Old U.S. 70 West and charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
May 12
Christopher Adam Cole, 31, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 400 block of Asheville Road and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
May 13
Charles Kyle Doalson, 25, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of River Meadow Drive and charged with shoplifting, larceny and forgery of instrument.
May 14
Konnie Jane Miller, 31, of Asheville, was arrested on the 600 block of West State Street and charged with possession of methamphetamine and prostitution.
Sierra Rose Ortiz, 19, of Fairview, was arrested at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Cragmont Road and charged with consumption of alcohol by a person age 19 or 20.
Crystal Helen Ortiz, 19, of Fairview, was arrested at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Cragmont Road and charged with possession of marijuana under half of an ounce, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, possession of Schedule II controlled substance, carrying a concealed gun and possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine.
Alice Ruth Phillips, 51, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Barker Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
May 17
John Thomas Owens, 44, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with misdemeanor probation violation.
