Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

May 1

Larceny of a tag was reported on the first block of Jims Branch Access Road.

Motor vehicle theft was reported on the 3000 block of U.S. 70.

Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported at a business on the 500 block of West State Street.

Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance was reported on East Street.

May 2

Disorderly conduct was reported on the 100 block of Young Street.

May 3

Child molestation (non-assaultive) was reported on the first block of Wolf Creek Drive.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Old U.S. 70 East.

Arrests

April 29

Jacob Samuel Trull, 24, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 300 block of Old U.S. 70 and charged with second-degree trespassing.

May 1

Laura Lynn Webster, 30, of Asheville, was arrested on the first block of Jims Branch Access Road on a civil order of arrest.

May 3

Joshua Lynn Peek, 26, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Martin Road Extension and charged with assault on a female.

May 4

James Joseph Mize, 31, of Asheville, was arrested on the first block of Good Loop and charged with two counts of violating a domestic violence protective order.
