Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these incidents and arrests.
Incidents
April 14
Fraud was reported on the first block of Peridot Point.
April 17
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 200 block of Dennis Street. Electronics valued at $85, compact discs valued at $20 and miscellaneous items valued at $1 were reported stolen.
April 18
Fraud was reported on the first block of Pheasant Hollow Drive.
Larceny was reported at on the 2900 block of U.S. 70.
Arrests
April 9
Amanda Rose Carter, 30, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Dilling Avenue and charged with simple assault.
April 13
Peter Brian Cipponeri, 35, of Black Mountain, was arrested on N.C. 9 at I-40 and charged with operating a vehicle with no insurance and operating a vehicle with no license.
John Emerson Hutchby, 46, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of North Dougherty Road and Cherry Street and charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of an open container in the passenger area of a vehicle, making an improper turn and driving while impaired.
April 15
Warren Shane Tippett, 29, of Swannanoa, was arrested at the intersection of Sutton Avenue and N.C. 9 and charged with driving with license revoked - not impaired.
April Elizabeth Covan, 37, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Morgan Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and civil order of arrest for nonsupport.
April 18
Radney Daine Ducker, 51, of Asheville, was arrested on the 200 block of Wilson Avenue and charged with resisting public officers.
April 21
Daniel James Massey, 26, of Asheville, was arrested on the first block of Superior Way and charged with second-degree trespassing.
David James Massey, 31, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the first block of Superior Way and charged with second-degree trespassing.
