Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

April 7

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Mountain View Road.

April 8

Animal neglect was reported on the 500 block of North Fork Road.

An animal attack was reported on the 300 block of Old Lytle Cove Road.

April 9

Simple physical assault was reported on the 100 block of Dilling Avenue.

April 10

Assault with a deadly weapon was reported on the 100 block of Rowland Road.

April 12

Possible rabies exposure was reported on the first block of Woodbend Lane.

Financial card fraud was reported on the first block of Kerlee Street.

Arrests

April 3

Adam Caleb Carpenter, 20, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 300 block of West State Street and charged with speeding, carrying a concealed gun, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

April 7

Dillan Joseph Mascitelli, 19, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the corner of Old U.S. 70 and Padgettown Road and charged with possession of marijuana, less than half of an ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

David James Burroughs, 19, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the corner of Old U.S. 70 and Padgettown Road and charged with possession of marijuana, less than half of an ounce and resisting public officers.

April 8

William Robert Clark, 54, of Asheville, was arrested in the parking lot of a business on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with driving while impaired and driving without allowing registration plate to display.

Kasey Elaine Grindstaff, 27, of Old Fort, was arrested on the first block of Sigma Lane and charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
