Scouts to host chicken and dumplings fundraiser

Boy Scout Troop 50 will once again host its annual Chicken & Dumplings Fundraiser Dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21 at the Lakeview Center, Lake Tomahawk.

Many people look forward each year to the fellowship of other diners and the meal prepared by Red Radish Catering. The $10 dinners include chicken, dumplings, vegetable, garden salad, bread and dessert.

Pick up to take home, or dine in at the Lakeview Center. Tickets are available from any troop member. They’re also available at the event, but since a limited number will be available, organizers suggest you come early. For tickets and information, call 828-528-1218.

All dinner proceeds support troop activities for the year, including camping and outings, badge advancement, community service and leadership opportunities. Troop 50 is chartered by Christ Community Church-Montreat, and includes 6- to 12th-grade boys.
