Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported on Laurel Circle.
Breaking or entering with force was reported on the 2100 block of N.C. 9. A laptop valued at $500, a TV valued at $400 and a video game console valued at $200 were reported stolen.
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 500 block of Rhododendron Avenue.
Assault on a female and resisting delaying or obstructing arrest were reported on the 200 block of Rainbow Terrace.
Breaking or entering - forcible entry was reported on the 100 block of Kent Street.
Breaking or entering was reported on the 300 block of Marion Avenue. Video games valued at $1,000, a video game console valued at $300, a hard drive valued at $200, headphones valued at $150 and a skateboard valued at $100 were reported stolen.
Assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury was reported on the 2200 block of U.S. 70.
Chad Shawn Case, 29, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Vance Avenue and charged with three counts of larceny of a firearm.
Brian Keith Cole Pirkle, 27, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Montreat Road and charged with speeding, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance.
Stephen Ross Warren, 30, of Weaverville, was arrested at the intersection of Tomahawk Avenue and Laurel Circle and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Starcia Jean-Marie Jesser, 33, of Asheville, was arrested on the 300 block of Flat Creek Road and charged with driving with license revoked - not impaired.
Richard Malcombe Webb, 26, of Asheville, was arrested on the 2700 block of U.S. 70 and charged with misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor probation violation and felony probation violation.
Mary Bridgette Haun, 34, of Asheville, was arrested on the first block of Good Loop and charged with misdemeanor larceny, larceny aiding and abetting and common law forgery.
Samantha Theresa Renee Preston, 21, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Myrtle Road and charged with misdemeanor larceny.
Melvin James Russell, 26, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the first block of Myrtle Road and charged with misdemeanor larceny.
James Fletcher Lytle, 23, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 400 block of Rollin Road and charged with a weapon offense.
Dustin Heath Swann, 34, of Asheville, was arrested on the first block of Good Loop and charged with resisting public officers.
