The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

March 3

Possible rabies exposure was reported on the 600 block of Christian Creek Road.

A misdemeanor drug offense was reported on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70.

March 4

Damage to real property was reported on the 200 block of Dennis Street.

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported at a business on the 600 block of West State Street.

March 5

Larceny of a recreation vehicle was reported on the 2500 block of Old U.S. 70.

Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia were reported on the on Blue Ridge Road at N.C. 9.

Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported at a business on the 100 block of Flat Creek Road.

March 6

Breaking or entering a residence with force was reported on the first block of Broad River VFD Road. A television and DVD player were reported stolen.

Larceny was reported on the 500 block of Stepp Street.

Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported on the 400 block of Laurel Circle Drive.

March 7

Possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor drug offense were reported on the first block of Lake Eden Road.

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of West View Avenue.

Burglary by forcible entry and larceny were reported on the 700 block of North Cherokee Avenue.

March 8

Resist, delay or obstruct an officer was reported on the 2200 block of U.S. 70.

Larceny was reported on the 200 block of Northwest Avenue. An electric motorcycle valued at $300 was reported stolen.

March 9

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Church Street.

Arrests

March 4

Joy Lynn Hanson, 28, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 2200 block of U.S. 70 and charged with second-degree trespassing.

March 9

Gollie Martin Craig, 47, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 2100 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
