Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Feb. 11
An animal bite was reported on the first block of Cheshire Drive.
Male rape was reported on the 100 block of Montreat Road.
Feb. 12
Assault on a female was reported on the 300 block of Genesis Circle.
Larceny from buildings was reported on the 500 block of Montreat Road. Computer hardware and software with a total value of $1,000, stereo equipment with a total value of $1,250 and office equipment valued at $140 were reported stolen.
Larceny of a tag was reported on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.
Larceny was reported on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. Miscellaneous items valued at $205 were reported stolen.
Feb. 15
Possible rabies exposure was reported on the 100 block of Last Resort Road.
An animal bite was reported on the 200 block of Wilson Avenue.
Feb. 16
Larceny was reported at a business on the 600 block of West State Street. A TV valued at $300 was reported stolen.
Motor vehicle theft was reported at a business on the 300 block of Black Mountain Avenue. A Toyota 4Runner valued at $3,500 was reported stolen.
Feb. 17
Driving while intoxicated was reported on the 2200 block of U.S. 70.
Arrests
Feb. 17
Brian Dana Smith, 44, of Asheville, was arrested on the 2100 block of U.S. 70 and charged with parole violation.
Jackie Byrd Lytle, 42, of Black Mountain, was attested on the 200 block of Avena Road and charged with simple assault, prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Nichole Natasha Michele Tigar, 37, of Asheville, was arrested at the intersection of Grovestone Road and U.S. 70 and charged with simple assault and second-degree trespassing.
