Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Jan. 14

Simple assault was reported on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road.

Breaking or entering with force was reported on the 100 block of Walnut Cove Road. A door sustained $200 in damage.

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Rosa Lee Lane. A Subaru Legacy valued at $6,000 was reported stolen.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Sassafras Valley Road. Miscellaneous items valued at $320 were reported stolen.

Jan. 15

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Rainbow Ridge Road. A motorcycle valued at $1,000 was reported stolen.

An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of Alexander Place.

Breaking or entering was reported on the first block of Bee Wood Lane.

Jan. 16

Larceny was reported on the first block of Woodcreek Circle. Computer hardware valued at $1,380, farm and garden vehicles valued at $450, jewelry valued at $195, and other miscellaneous items valued at $128 were reported stolen.

Jan. 18

An animal bite was reported on the 200 block of Wilson Avenue.

Breaking or entering was reported on the 300 block of Bee Tree Road. A firearm valued at $500 and a safe valued at $200 were reported stolen.

Larceny from a motor vehicle and damage to personal property were reported on the first block of Patton Cove Road. Miscellaneous items valued at $377 were reported stolen.

Arrests

Jan. 16

Larry Edward Swafford, 51, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70 and charged with two counts of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

Jan. 19

Earl Buckner Lewis III, 36, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Wray Avenue and charged with cyberstalking.

Kevin Everett Case, 27, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Cherokee Road and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

Annette Marie Chrisman, 46, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 2600 block of U.S. 70 and charged with misdemeanor larceny.
