Owen High’s basketball programs will team with Eblen Charities and the Brad Daugherty Foundation on Wednesday, Jan. 27 for Hoops Against Hunger, a program designed to help students who may not have enough to eat at home.

Proceeds from the Owen game against Polk will go to the Hoops Against Hunger. Those attending the game are encouraged to donate food items.

The program was launched in 2014 by former Owen High standout Brad Daugherty in an effort to raise $1 million to fight hunger in Western North Carolina.
