Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Dec. 24

Credit card fraud was reported on the 100 block of Edwards Avenue.

Larceny of a tag was reported on the 100 block of Eden Glen Road.

Dec. 26

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 300 block of Bee Tree Road. A firearm valued at $400 was reported stolen.

Dec. 31

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 200 block of Whitson Avenue. An identification card and unused checks were reported stolen.

Arrests

Dec. 26

Lauren Elizabeth Garvie, 28, of Asheville, was arrested on the 500 block of Old U.S. 70 and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Dec. 27

Christopher Bryan Gardner, 36, of Cullowhee, was arrested on South Ridgeway Avenue and charged with possession of an open container of alcohol in the passenger area of a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.

Vickie Erin Anderson, 41, of Asheville, was arrested on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with driving while license revoked not impaired and expired registration.

Amy Beth Owenby, 32, of Fletcher, was arrested on South Ridgeway Avenue and charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance, canceled, revoked or suspended tag, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, driving while license revoked not impaired, simple possession of Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance on jail premises.

Gabriel Thomas Lockridge, 38, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with forgery.

Dec. 28

Ciera Lauren Corrales, 28, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Reed Road and charged with pretrial release violation.

Dec. 29

Aubrey Dolores Olson, 28, of Old Fort, was arrested on the 5000 block of N.C. 9 and charged with misdemeanor larceny.
