Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Dec. 10

Damage to personal property was reported on the 2500 block of U.S. 70. Two vehicles sustained a total of $7,500 in damage.

Larceny was reported on the first block of Aldon Drive. A dirt bike valued at $800 was reported stolen.

Dec. 12

Larceny was reported on the first block of Spankey Road. Cash totaling $1,000 was reported stolen.

Dec. 13

An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of Spring Lane.

Damage to personal property was reported on the first block of Wray Avenue.

Dec. 14

Fraud was reported at a business on the 2200 block of U.S. 70.

Dec. 15

Felony breaking or entering was reported at a business on the 1200 block of North Fork Road. Lawn equipment with a total value of $3,000 was reported stolen.

Larceny was reported on the first block of Old Cove Road. Cash totaling $140 was reported stolen.

An animal bite was reported on the 200 block of Lake Eden Road.

Larceny was reported on the 300 block of Tanbridge Road. Jewelry valued at $500 was reported stolen.

Breaking and entering - motor vehicle - was reported on the 100 block of NC 9. A vehicle door sustained $200 in damage.

Breaking and entering - motor vehicle - was reported on the 100 block of NC 9. A window sustained $500 in damage.

Arrests

Dec. 12

Morgan Pressley Duncan, 19, of Blythewood, SC, was arrested on the first block of Watershed Road and charged with resisting public officers.
