Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Dec. 3

A domestic dispute was reported on the 300 block of Charles Court.

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) was reported at Padgettown Road and Rainbow Terrace.

Dec. 6

An animal attack was reported on the 100 block of Beechtree Drive.

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Walnut Cove. Cash totaling $1,100 was reported stolen.

Dec. 8

Damage to real property was reported on the first block of Cavalier Lane.

Felony breaking or entering was reported at a business on the first block of Dustin Drive. Cash totaling $1,171 and a ladder valued at $150 were reported stolen.

Dec. 9

Larceny was reported at a business on the 3000 block of U.S. 70. Diesel fuel valued at $4,323 was reported stolen.

Larceny was reported at a business on the 3100 block of U.S. 70. Cash totaling $40 was reported stolen.

Arrests

Dec. 7

Glen Wesley Davis, 45, of Asheville, was arrested on the 100 block of Samson Way and charged with assault on a female.

Kendrick Kejuan Johnson, 42, of Asheville, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with cruelty to animals.

Dec. 9

April Bernice Lewis, 42, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Grovemont Avenue and charged with selling methamphetamine.

Jason Ryan Hartsough, 42, of Charlotte, was arrested at a business on the 100 block of Cherry Street and charged with being intoxicated and disruptive, resisting public officers and trespassing in the second degree.
