Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Nov. 21

An animal bite was reported on the 400 block of Cragmont Road.

Nov. 22

Larceny by an employee was reported on the first block of Lake Eden Road.

Arrests

Nov. 23

Darren Lee Harbison was arrested on Lytle Cove Road and charged with simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and resisting public officers.

Nov. 23

Natanna Louise Byrd was arrested on the intersection of Laurel Circle Drive and Rhododendron Drive and charged with simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license revoked - not impaired, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Nov. 23

Kayla McKenzie Carter was arrested on the first block of Cement Road and charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Nov. 25

Ian Christopher Monley was arrested on Aldon Drive and charged with breaking and/or entering.

Nov. 27

Hermino Estrada Perez was arrested on Grovestone Road and charged with driving while impaired, no operators license, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Terry Bruce Johnson was arrested on Avery Wood Drive and charged with larceny.
