The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Nov. 6

Possible rabies exposure was reported on the first block of Chapel Road.

Nov. 7

Larceny was reported at a business on the 100 block of Old U.S. 70 East. A bag of grass seed valued at $165 was reported stolen.

Motor vehicle theft was reported on the 300 block of West State Street. A truck valued at $1,000 was reported stolen.

Motor vehicle theft was reported on the 200 block of N.C. 9. A car valued at $5,000 was reported stolen.

Accidental gunshot wound was reported on the 500 block of Old U.S. 70.

Nov. 8

Trespassing and resisting arrest was reported at a business on the 2800 block of U.S. 70 West.

Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported on the first block of Wolf Creek Drive. A window screen valued at $20 was damaged.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70. A phone valued at $50 was reported stolen.

Arrests

Nov. 5

Ciera Lauren Corrales was arrested on the first block of Reed Road and charged with assault and battery.

Nov. 7

Melissa Rachelle Gainey was arrested on the 1000 block of Montreat Road and charged with communicating threats.

Nov. 8

Torianno Deshun Moore was arrested on the 2800 block of U.S. 70 and charged with second degree trespassing and resisting public officers.

Nov. 10

Michael Joe Morgan was arrested on the 200 block of Padgettown Road and charged with failure to register as a sex offender and failure to report a change of address by a sex offender.

Nov. 14

Lakeshia Catrice Washington was charged with resisting public officers at the junction of Cragmont Road and Fortune Street.
