To get us started, here’s a recipe for Red Velvet Hot Cocoa.

Red Velvet Hot Cocoa

From Heather’s French Press

1 cup of skim (or 1% milk)

1/2 cup of chopped bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate (chocolate chips work well)

1-1 1/2 tsp red food coloring

1 tsp vanilla for the whipped cream

1/4 cup of heavy cream

1 Tbsp powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla

Heat the milk over medium. Whisk in the chocolate and stir until melted. Stir in the food coloring and the vanilla. Whip the cream with the sugar and vanilla. Serve with whip and chocolate shavings (and maybe a marshmallow or two).
