The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Oct. 22

An animal bite was reported on the first block of Frances Avenue.

Larceny from a motor vehicle and financial transaction card fraud were reported on the 100 block of Poplar Street.

Larceny was reported on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. Cash totaling $200 and a cell phone valued at $200 were reported stolen.

Oct. 23

Felony breaking or entering was reported at a business on the 300 block of Lake Eden Road. Sixty chairs with a total value of $4,500, a flower arrangement valued at $400 and a wooden sign valued at $100 were reported stolen.

Breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported on the 300 block of Genesis Circle. A handgun valued at $650, cash totaling $300, gift cards with a total value of $45 and a sun visor organizer valued at $20 were reported stolen.

Breaking and entering and larceny from buildings was reported on the 800 block of Rhododendron Avenue. Power tools with a total value of $679 were reported stolen.

Damage to personal property was reported on the 200 block of Pembrook Road. A vehicle sustained $200 in damage.

Oct. 24

Credit card fraud was reported on the 300 block of Old Lytle Cove Road.

Damage to real property was reported on the first block of Big Al Court. A car sustained $200 in damage.

Oct. 26

An animal bite was reported on the 300 block of Flat Creek Road.

Financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card fraud were reported at a business on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.

Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported on the 100 block of Black Mountain Avenue.

Oct. 28

Fraud was reported on the 200 block of Central Avenue.

Arrests

Oct. 17

Laura Isabel Woods was arrested on the 100 block of Overbrook Drive and charged with breaking or entering and first-degree trespassing.

Oct. 24

Tyler Alexander Garrison was arrested on the intersection of U.S. 70 and Riverwood Road and charged with simple assault.

Kaleb Hobbs Hageman was arrested on the intersection of U.S. 70 and Riverwood Road and charged with simple assault.

Oct. 31.

Elka Marie Davis was arrested at the intersection of Sutton Avenue and Richardson Boulevard and charged with possession of cocaine, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than a half ounce, driving while license revoked - not impaired and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Elysia Dawn Miller was arrested at the intersection of Sutton Avenue and Richardson Boulevard and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana less than a half ounce, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, driving while license revoked - not impaired and possession of drug paraphernalia.
