Incidents in the Swannanoa Valley

Asheville

The Black Mountain Police Department and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Oct. 2

Burglary - no force - was reported on the 2300 block of North Fork Right Fork Road. Cash totaling $590 was reported stolen.

Driving while intoxicated was reported on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.

Larceny was reported on the 400 block of Patton Cove Road. Cash totaling $2,500 and credit/debit cards were reported stolen.

Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance was reported on the 100 block of Dogwood Lane.

Oct. 3

Larceny - shoplifting - was reported at a business on the 2200 block of U.S. 70.

Oct. 5

Larceny of a tag was reported on the first block of Spankey Road.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Jim’s Branch Access Road.

Oct. 6

Felony breaking or entering was reported on the first block of Starlight Drive. A video game console valued at $400, a rifle valued at $400 and a mobile phone accessory valued at $100 were reported stolen.

Oct. 7

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 400 block of Wilson Avenue.

Lost or stolen tag was reported on the 400 block of East State Street.

Arrests

Oct. 2

Dwight Anthony Shelton was arrested on the 300 block of Bee Tree Road and charged with misdemeanor larceny.

Ricky Norton was arrested on the 2200 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of heroin.

Oct. 3

Pamela Faye Williams was arrested on the first block of Tanglewood Drive and charged with resisting public officers.

Oct. 4

Steven Luther Daugherty was arrested at the intersection of N.C. 9 and Blue Ridge Road and charged with driving while impaired and driving left of center.

Oct. 7

Donald Moore Edwards was arrested on the first block of Creole Street and charged second degree trespassing.

Jeremy Lee Harding was arrested on the 100 block of Grovemont Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jerrel Dequarius Wimphire was arrested on N.C. 9 and charged with defrauding an innkeeper.

Oct. 10

Francis Charles Morton was arrested on 7th Street and charged with hit and run - leaving the scene with property damage and resisting public officers.
