Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Sept. 15
Breaking and entering and larceny were reported on the 600 block of Azalea Avenue. Shoes valued at $50 were reported stolen.
Sept. 16
Assault on a female was reported on the 500 block of N.C. 9.
Sept. 20
Damage to personal property was reported on the 600 block of Patton Cove Road.
Sept. 21
A felony drug offense was reported on the 400 block of Dennis Street.
Sept. 22
Motor vehicle theft was reported on the 100 block of Hillcrest Road. A moped valued at $500 was reported stolen.
Counterfeit money was reported at a business on the 500 block of N.C. 9.
Arrests
Sept. 14
Daniel Travis Eberhart, 33, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Blue Ridge Road and charged with driving while impaired.
Sept. 15
Rachel Marjorie Solesby, 29, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Broadway and charged with hit and run/leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and driving while license revoked and not impaired.
Sept. 16
Jimmy Ray Carpenter, Jr., 62, of Waynesville, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with assault on a female.
Sept. 20
David Lynn Millner, 43, of Finley, Tenn., was arrested on the 600 block of Patton Cove Road and charged with a misdemeanor violation of a protective order.
Sept. 21
Brandon James Chivers, 25, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 400 block of Dennis Street and charged with possession of heroin, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and resisting public officers.
Sept. 22
Anthony Craig Hamilton, 55, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 2000 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and second degree trespassing.
