White Horse featured in music video
The first traditional music video in the “Back Roads to the Blue Ridge Music Trails of NC” series features Black Mountain’s own White Horse Black Mountain listening room.
Released by the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area Partnership, the 10 videos promoting the traditional music of Western North Carolina are being introduced individually throughout the summer and fall. The episode filmed at White Horse Black Mountain was released on Sept. 8, on both the Blue Ridge Music Trails (blueridgemusicnc.com) and Blue Ridge NHA (blueridgeheritage.com) websites and on Facebook and YouTube.
“These fun films were made in small, off-the-beaten-path music venues that lovers of the traditional music of our region might otherwise not find,” said Angie Chandler, executive director of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area. “Our goal is to get visitors to learn about and enjoy this music in venues, festivals, and music halls of all sizes, all over Western North Carolina.”
Each site’s video on the BRMT website is accompanied by suggestions of some nearby attractions to encourage visitors to stay longer and discover more of the cultural and heritage attractions in the region.
