Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Aug. 27

Felony drug offense was reported on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70.

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the 600 block of Warren Wilson Road. A Subaru Legacy valued at $1,000 was reported stolen.

Aug. 31

Damage to personal property was reported on the 600 block of Christian Creek Road.

Sept. 4

Larceny of a motor vehicle and damage to real property were reported on the 3200 block of Old U.S. 70. Two lawnmowers valued at $5,400 each, a weed trimmer valued at $1,350, a push mower valued at $900, a leaf blower valued at $600, a hedge trimmer valued at $350, two trash cans valued at $400, a tool bag valued at $150, two hand pruners valued at $50 and two cans of gas valued at $40 were reported stolen.

Felony drug offense was reported on Interstate 40. Drug paraphernalia was recovered.

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the 300 block of Patton Hill Road. A Ford Explorer was reported stolen.

Breaking or entering with no force was reported on the 200 block of Patton Hill Road. A chainsaw valued at $250 was reported stolen.

Breaking or entering with force was reported on the first block of Tanglewood Drive.

Sept. 6

Larceny was reported on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. A laptop computer valued at $300 was reported stolen.

Larceny of a tag was reported on the first block of Mikey Drive. A tag valued at $157 was reported stolen.

Sept. 7

Larceny, damage to real property and damage to personal property were reported on the first block of Stars Forever Drive. Faucets and sinks valued at $750, wire mesh valued at $200, a garden hose valued at $50 and gasoline valued at $40 were reported stolen. A driveway sustained $1,000 in damage.

Sept. 8

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Lake Eden Road. A checkbook valued at $1, a purse valued at $1 and a debit card valued at $1 were reported stolen.

Sept. 9

Larceny was reported on the first block of Aqua Drive.
