Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Aug. 13
Breaking and/or entering was reported on the 800 block of Christian Creek Road. A horse saddle valued at $800, various wrenches valued at $450, an airplane propeller valued at $200 and a set of steer horns valued at $100 were reported stolen.
Aug. 14
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at an unknown location. Prescription pills valued at $737 were reported stolen.
Aug. 15
Damage to personal property was reported on the first block of Jordan Road. A door lock sustained $40 in damages.
An animal bite was reported on the first block of Morton Circle.
Aug. 16
Breaking and/or entering with force was reported on the 1200 block of North Fork Road.
Two weed trimmers valued at a total of $600 and two blowers valued at a total of $600 were reported stolen.
Larceny by employee was reported at a business on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. Cash totaling $60 was reported stolen.
Aug. 17
An animal attack was reported on the 100 block of Warren Wilson Road.
Breaking and/or entering with force was reported on the 800 block of Christian Creek Road.
Two rock crushers valued at a total of $400, antique bicycles valued at a total of $300 and two small bicycles valued at a total of $100 were reported stolen.
Aug. 18
Larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny of a motor vehicle - truck were reported on the first block of Jesse James Lane. An automobile valued at $1,000, another automobile valued at $2,000 and a tractor valued at $5,000 were reported stolen.
Larceny was reported on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. Gas valued at $10 was reported stolen.
Arrests
Aug. 17
Gabriel Thomas Lockridge, 38, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Westwood Avenue and charged with violating a domestic violence protective order.
Ashley Elizabeth Ramey, 31, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Westwood Avenue on a civil order for arrest.
Aug. 20
Kenneth William Brooks, 50, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Radio Way on a civil order for arrest.
Jessica Jewel Lacie Cook, 24, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with misdemeanor larceny.
