Black Mountain Police Department and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these incidents from July 16-22 and arrests from July 17-23:
Fraud - obtaining money or property by false pretense was reported at a business on the 200 block of N.C. 9. Food with a total value of $50.21 was reportedly obtained.
Larceny was reported on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road. Two cell phones with a total value of $400, cash totaling $200, a wallet with a value of $5 and a bank card were reported stolen.
Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Frances Avenue. An all-terrain vehicle valued at $2,000 was reported stolen.
Burglary by forcible entry was reported on the 100 block of Sunset Drive.
Felony breaking or entering was reported on the first block of Old Toll Booth Road. A back door sustained $200 in damages. A gun valued at $75, ammunition valued at $100, a safe valued at $100, coins valued at $120, a car key valued at $25, an ammunition box valued at $15 and a vehicle title valued at $10 were reported stolen.
Fraud was reported on the first block of Sherwood Drive. A prepaid card valued at $2,500 was reported stolen.
Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Craggy Vista Drive. A van valued at $4,000 was reported stolen.
Marcus Lee Phillips, 21, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 2000 block of U.S. 70 and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting public officers.
Jeffrey Lane Burrell, 50, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Wards Lake Road and charged with being a habitual felon.
Roy Adrian Burnette, 42, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 200 block of New Salem Road and charged with misdemeanor larceny.
Jose Salvador Herrera, 38, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Alan Campos Circle and charged with domestic criminal trespassing.
Darren Lee Harbison, 28, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the corner of Warren Wilson Road and U.S. 70 and charged with violating a domestic violence protective order.
Joseph Shane Stewart, 40, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Myrtle Road and charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
