Incidents and arrests in the Swannanoa Valley

Black Mountain Police Department and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these incidents from July 2-8 and arrests from July 4-10:

Incidents

July 2

Larceny was reported on the first block of Mimidis Lane. Solar LED lights valued at $65 were reported stolen.

July 3

Breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny were reported on the 200 block of Flat Creek Road. Prescription glasses valued at $200, a watch valued at $50, a purse valued at $25, a sweatshirt valued at $15 and change totaling $3.48 were reported stolen.

July 4

An animal bite was reported on the first block of Erman Drive.

July 5

Attempted breaking and entering was reported on the first block of Luckadoo Lane.

Larceny of auto parts and accessories was reported at the corner of Eastside Drive and Grovestone road. A chrome ring valued at $100 was reported stolen.

July 6

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Harrison Hill Road. Miscellaneous items valued at $400, cash totaling $300, a check book and a debit card were reported stolen.

July 7

Larceny was reported at a business on the 2500 block of U.S. 70. A North Carolina license plate was reported stolen.

Fleeing to elude, aggressive driving, improper passing, failure to heed lights and sirens, speeding to elude arrest, speeding, resisting arrest and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance were reported in Black Mountain.

July 8

Burglary by forcible entry was reported on the first block of Luckadoo Lane. Clothing with a total value of $15 was reported stolen.

Damage to personal property was reported on the first block of Old Buckeye Cove Road. A vehicle sustained $3,000 in damage.

Arrests

July 7

Raymond Anthony Oliver, 41, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 200 block of Harrison Avenue and charged with driving while impaired.
