Black Mountain Police Department and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department reported these incidents from June 4-10 and arrests from June 6-12:

Incidents

June 4

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Martin Road. Radio equipment valued at $500 was taken and the vehicle sustained $500 in damages.

Arson was reported on the 100 block of Martin Road.

Larceny of a truck was reported on the 100 block of Westwood Avenue. A 2002 GMC Sonoma valued at $3,500 and miscellaneous items valued at $35 were reported stolen.

June 6

Simple assault was reported on the 100 block of Walkertown Road.

June 7

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road. Computer equipment valued at $1,450, radio equipment valued at $100, jewelry valued at $100 and miscellaneous items valued at $50 were reported stolen.

June 8

Larceny was reported on the first block of Mikey Drive. An Internet satellite dish valued at $200 was reported stolen.

Assault on a female was reported on the 1200 block of Bee Tree Road.

Misdemeanor breaking or entering was reported on the 100 block of Alan Campos Circle.

June 9

An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of Dayberry Lane.

June 10

Larceny by employee was reported at a business on the 500 block of N.C. 9. Cash totaling $40 was reported stolen.

Arrests

June 6

Jordan Wayne Link, 23, of Asheville, was arrested on N.C. 9 and charged with misdemeanor larceny.

Tanasia Sharae Boyd, 22, of Black Mountain, was arrested on N.C. 9 and charged with misdemeanor larceny.

June 9

Austin Ray Smith, 25, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 600 block of Bee Tree Road and charged with assault on a female.

Brian Monroe Radford, 28, of Swannanoa, was arrested on North Fork Road and Montreat Road and charged with violating a protective order.

June 11

Jesse Lee Raines, 30, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 500 block of Bee Tree Road and charged with communicating threats.

June 12

Jonathan Douglas Metcalf, 32, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Creole Court and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ricky Edward Baker, 57, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Creole Court and charged with two counts of second-degree trespassing and soliciting alms.
