Valley Rewind: Ready for the ice

This early 20th century photograph is one of many taken from a scrapbook donated to the Swannanoa Museum & History Center by the family of Vella Hendrix Landis. Though the women's names are unknown, the scrapbook caption reads, "Ready for the ice." If you have family photographs from the Swannanoa Valley, consider donating them to the museum for proper care and preservation. The museum can also make digital copies of your historic photographs and return the originals to you so your family's memories can be archived in their collection.
