Oct. 31 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Breaking and entering and theft of motor vehicle parts were reported Oct. 17 on the 100 block of Pinetree Drive.
Simple assault was reported Oct. 17 on the 100 block of West Street.
An animal bite was reported Oct. 18 on the 100 block of Eugene Drive.
Disorderly conduct was reported Oct 19 on the 100 block of West State Street.
Warrant service for offenses committed in another jurisdiction was reported Oct. 20 on the 3000 block of U.S. 70.
Breaking or entering—with force was reported Oct. 21 on the 900 block of Patton Cove Road.
Drug equipment violations and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer were reported Oct. 21 on N.C. 9.
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule 1 controlled substance; possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance; carrying a concealed weapon and drug equipment violations were reported Oct. 21 on the 500 block of N.C. 9.
Breaking and entering was reported Oct. 22 on the first block of Aqua Lane.
Possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and an open container were reported Oct. 22 on the 200 block of N.C. 9.
Misdemeanor larceny was reported Oct. 22 on the 900 block of Old U.S. 70.
Larceny was reported Oct. 22 on the first block of Jims Branch Access Road.
Damage to personal property was reported Oct. 23 on the 100 block of Vance Avenue.
Arrests
Austin Allen Wright, 18, of Black Mountain, was arrested Oct. 13 on the 200 block of McCoy Cove Road and charged with two counts of simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance.
Richard Lee Denny, 58, of Black Mountain, was arrested Oct. 13 on the 200 block of McCoy Cove Road and charged with assault by pointing a gun and assault and battery.
Juanita Elaine Jackson, 38, of Asheville, was arrested Oct. 18 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with financial card fraud.
William Eric Wiley, 51, of Morganton, was arrested Oct. 20 on the 300 block of Lake Eden Road and charged with second degree trespassing and being intoxicated and disruptive.
Amanda Nicole Claxton, 33, of Swannanoa, was arrested Oct. 22 on the 2100 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of stolen goods, aiding and abetting larceny and larceny.
