Sept. 26 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Sept. 12 on the 200 block of Pembrook Road. 

Identity theft was reported on Sept. 12 on the 1700 block of Western Avenue. 

Possession of a stolen vehicle and narcotics violations were reported on Sept. 12 on Byrd Road. 

Narcotics violations were reported on Sept. 12 on the first block of Tree Canopy Lane. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Sept. 12 on the 100 block of Sleepy Hollow Lane. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Sept. 12 on the 100 block of Bridgestone Road. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Sept. 12 on the 100 block of Oak Valley Drive. 

Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and drug equipment violations were reported on Sept. 13 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 63. 

Shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported on Sept. 14 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

An animal bite was reported on Sept. 14 on the 1700 block of N.C. 9. 

Shoplifting was reported on Sept. 15 on the 500 block of N.C. 9.

Shoplifting was reported on Sept. 16 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Sept. 15 on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road. 

Larceny was reported on Sept. 16 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Larceny of a recreational vehicle was reported on Sept. 16 on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Sept. 17 on the 100 block of Woodcreek Circle. 

Assault with a deadly weapon was reported on Sept. 18 on the 200 block of Poplar Street. 

Vandalism was reported on Sept. 18 on the first block of White Pine Drive. 

Damage to real property was reported on Sept. 18 on the 300 block of Old Toll Circle.

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on Sept. 18 on the 200 block of West Charleston Avenue. 

Felony drug offense was reported on Sept. 19 on the 100 block of Reece Drive.  

Arrests

Christopher Scott Owenby, 38, of Fairview, was arrested on Sept. 12 on the first block of Dunsmore Avenue and charged with first degree trespassing and misdemeanor larceny. 

James Adam Hollowell, 50, of Old Fort, was arrested on Sept. 12 on the first block of Dunsmore Avenue and charged with first degree trespassing and misdemeanor larceny. 

Robert Peterson, 51, of Tampa, Florida, was arrested on Sept. 12 on the 100 block of Jims Branch Road and charged with misdemeanor probation violation. 

Earl Buckner Lewis III, 40, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Sept. 15 on the first block of Wray Avenue. 

Gary Dean Parker, Jr., 41, of Asheville, was arrested on Sept. 15 on the first block of Springdale Road and charged as a habitual felon. 

Ashley Nicole Allison, 36, of Old Fort, was arrested on Sept. 17 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia. 

Brandon Keith Morris, 24, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Sept. 18 on the 3100 block of U.S. 70 and charged with misdemeanor probation violation. 

Henry Norman Ward II, 43, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Sept. 19 on the first block of Reece Drive and charged with misdemeanor larceny, possession of stolen goods and possession of methamphetamine.
