Aug. 15 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

A traffic offense was reported on Aug. 1 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. 

Uttering a forged instrument was reported on Aug. 1 on the 300 block of West State Street. 

Simple assault was reported on Aug. 1 on the 100 block of Higdon Ridge Road. 

Driving under the influence and failure to burn headlamps were reported on Aug. 2 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 66. 

Possession of drug paraphernalia was reported on Aug. 2 on the 100 block of Dew Drop Road. 

Armed robbery was reported on Aug. 3 on the 100 block of Tessie Lane. 

Elder abuse was reported on Aug. 4 on the 200 block of Tabernacle Road. 

Motor vehicle theft and robbery was reported on Aug. 4 on Charlotte Street. 

Felony drug offense was reported on Aug. 4 on the 100 block of Grovemont Avenue. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Aug. 4 on the 100 block of Cherry Laurel Lane. 

Felony drug offense was reported on Aug. 4 on the 100 block of Grovemont Avenue. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Aug. 4 on the 100 block of Cherry Laurel Lane. 

Aggravated assault was reported on Aug. 5 on the 200 block of N.C. 9. 

Communicating a threat was reported on Aug. 5 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Resisting an officer was reported on Aug. 6 on Alpine Shadow Lane. 

Larceny was reported on Aug. 6 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Larceny was reported on Aug. 6 on the first block of Neil Price Avenue. 

Drug violations were reported on Aug. 6 on the 3000 block of U.S. 70. 

Warrant service for offenses committed in another jurisdiction, fleeing to elude, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, attempted breaking and entering a motor vehicle, driving with license revoked, aggressive driving and failure to heed to lights and siren were reported on Aug. 6 on U.S. 70. 

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported on Aug. 7 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. 

Felony drug offense was reported on Aug. 7 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70.

Arrests

Kaleb James Thomas-Neeley, 19, of Swannanoa, was arrested on July 27 on the 2800 block of U.S. 70 and charged with resisting a public officer. 

Erica Leigh Gibson, 26, of Swannanoa, was arrested on July 30 on the first block of Alpine Shadow Lane and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Eddie Dean Allison, 41, of Fairview, was arrested on July 30 on the first block of Alpine Shadow Lane and charged with financial card fraud; weapon offense and driving with license revoked — not impaired and having a fictitious or altered title, registration card or tag.

Shaun Thomas Pfeiffer, 28, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Aug. 1 on the first block of Candlelight Drive and charged with assault on a female. 

Dylan Nathaniel Ricketts, 23, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Aug. 3 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 66 and charged with driving while impaired and failure to burn headlamps. 

Graciela Surbano, 52, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Aug. 4 on the first block of Huntington Drive and charged with simple assault. 

Ivy Miranda Fisher, 42, of Asheville, was arrested on Aug. 4 on the 800 block of Warren Wilson Road. 

Derrick Michael Burton, 32, of Asheville, was arrested on Aug. 4 on the 800 block of Warren Wilson Road and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. 

Stepven Allin Johnson, 46, of Asheville, was arrested on Aug. 4 on the 800 block of Warren Wilson Road and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Aaron Tyler Wilson, 28, of Asheville, was arrested on Aug. 4 on the 100 block of Grovemont Avenue and charged with possession of methamphetamine. 

Paul Nelson Ladu, 32, of Fletcher, was arrested on Aug. 6 on the 100 block of Old Patton Cove Road and charged with misdemeanor stalking.
