The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Felony breaking or entering — with force was reported on July 25 on the 100 block of Candlelight Drive. 

Larceny was reported on July 25 on the 200 block of Cragmont Road. 

Driving under the influence and displaying a fictitious plate was reported on July 25 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 63. 

Larceny of a tag was reported on July 25 on the 200 block of Northwest Avenue. 

Call for service for a gun shot wound was reported on July 26 on the first block of Kappa Loop. 

Felony drug offense was reported on July 26 on the 100 block of Reese Drive. 

Credit card fraud was reported on July 26 on the 100 block of Loch Haven Road. 

Larceny was reported on July 26 on the 100 block of Jims Branch Access Road.

Drunkenness was reported on July 27 on Alpine Shadow Lane.  

Liquor law violations, traffic offenses and felony larceny were reported on July 27 at the intersection of Richardson Boulevard and State Street. 

Theft from a motor vehicle was reported on July 27 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Simple assault was reported on July 27 on WNC Shopping Center Drive. 

Larceny of a tag was reported on July 27 on the 3300 block of N.C. 9. 

Larceny was reported on July 27 on the 500 block of West State Street. 

A weapons law violation was reported on July 27 on the first block of Pearl Street. 

Felony breaking or entering — with force was reported on July 28 on the 2300 block of N.C. 9. 

Shoplifting was reported on July 28 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. 

Misdemeanor larceny was reported on July 29 on the 200 block of McCoy Cove Road. 

An animal bite was reported on July 29 on the 100 block of Martin Road. 

Shoplifting was reported on July 29 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. 

An animal bite was reported on July 29 on the 100 block of Alan Campos Circle. 

Warrant service for offenses committed in another jurisdiction, drug equipment violation and carrying a concealed weapon were reported on July 30 on Alpine Shadow Lane. 

Arrests

Shane Patrick Murphy, 30, of Greenville, S.C., was arrested on July 20 on the 100 block of Flat Creek Road and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule I controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule III controlled substance; trafficking LSD; felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance. 

Estaban Eli Matlack-Martin, 26, of Black Mountain, was arrested on July 21 on the 100 block of Broadway Avenue and charged with driving while impaired and possession of an open container in the passenger area of a vehicle.

Louie Clifton Nichols, 58, of Black Mountain, was arrested on July 24 at the intersection of North Dougherty Street and West State Street and charged with two counts of indecent exposure, driving while impaired and possession of an open container in the passenger area of a vehicle. 

Adan Gudalupe Cortes, 24, of Swannanoa, was arrested on July 25 on the first block of Womble Lane and charged with two counts of violating a protective order. 

John Scott Singleton, 26, of Pineola, was arrested on July 26 on the first block of Reese Drive and charged with possession of methamphetamine. 

Ronald Lee Bodnar, 65, of Greer, S.C., was arrested on July 25 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 63 and charged with driving while impaired and having a fictitious or altered tag. 

Andre Tremaine Montgomery, 37, of Black Mountain, was arrested on July 27 on the 400 block of Alpine Shadow Lane and charged with being intoxicated and disruptive. 

Beverly Ann Roberts, 40, of Asheville, was arrested on July 29 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70 and charged with misdemeanor larceny. 

Melissa Dobbs Rogers, 51, of Asheville, was arrested on July 30 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70 and charged with misdemeanor larceny. 

Tylor Keith Greene, 21, of Ramseur, was arrested on July 31 on the first block of Knox Road and charged with three counts of pretrial release violation.
