Aug. 1 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Possession of a stolen vehicle was reported On July 18 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. 

Credit card fraud was reported on July 18 on the 100 block of Jesse James Lane. 

Misdemeanor larceny was reported on July 18 on the 300 block of Black Mountain Avenue. 

Motor vehicle theft and destruction of property were reported on July 19 on the 2900 block of U.S. 70. 

Drug equipment violations were reported on July 19 on the 3100 block of U.S. 70. 

Felony drug offense was reported on July 19 on the 100 block of Charlotte Lane. 

An animal bite was reported on July 19 on the 100 block of Bowers Road. 

Obtaining property under false pretense was reported on July 20 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule I controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distributed a Schedule III controlled substance; felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance; felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and trafficking LSD were reported on July 20 on the 100 block of Flat Creek Road. 

Driving under the influence and driving with an open container were reported on July 20 at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Sutton Avenue. 

An animal bite was reported on July 21 on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road. 

Motor vehicle theft was reported on July 21 on the first block of Cement Road. 

An animal bite was reported on July 22 on the 200 block of Lakey Gap Acres. 

Fraud was reported on July 22 on the 100 block of Wingspread Drive. 

Breaking and entering was reported on July 23 on the 100 block of West College Street. 

Felony indecent exposure was reported on July 24 on the 500 block of N.C. 9.

Driving under the influence and driving with an open container were reported on July 24 at the intersection of West State Street and North Dougherty Street. 

Arrests

Kenneth Eugene Trull, 31, of Asheville, was arrested on July 14 at the intersection of Cragmont Road and U.S. 70 and charged with having a fictitious or altered tag. 

Sonya Marie Dockery, 32, of Asheville, was arrested on July 14 at the intersection of Cragmont Road and U.S. 70 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Wayne Thomas Carland, Jr., 59, of Asheville, was arrested on July 18 on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with second degree trespassing. 

Tania Danielle Shepherd, 35, of Alexander, was arrested on July 18 on the first block of Dew Drop Road and charged with possession of stolen goods. 

Nicholas Ray Miller, 31, of Landrum, S.C., was arrested on July 18 on the first block of Dew Drop Road and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Dawn Desara Glenn, 29, of Old Fort, was arrested on July 19 on the 3200 block of U.S. 70 and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. 

Regina Hoglen Ray, 47, of Swannanoa, was arrested on July 19 on the first block of Creole Court and charged with misdemeanor probation violation out of county. 

Zachary Brooks Frazier, 45, of Asheville, was arrested on July 20 on the 100 block of Warren Wilson Road and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Angelo Fandini, 35, of Asheville, was arrested on July 20 on the 100 block of Warren Wilson Road and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. 

Kenneth Paul Jones, 37, of Old Fort, was arrested on July 24 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 63 and charged with second degree trespassing and shoplifting.
