The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Obtaining property under false pretense was reported on May 9 on the 100 block of Dogwood Lane.
Theft from a motor vehicle was reported on May 9 on the 100 block of Enthoffer Street.
Drug violations were reported on May 9 at the intersection of a North Fork Road and Old U.S. 70.
Fraud was reported on May 9 on the 100 block of Outlook Circle.
Fraud was reported on May 9 on the 100 block of Lyda Road.
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance; maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance; possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; failure to register a vehicle; possession of a controlled substance on jail premises and drug equipment violations were reported on May 11 on the I-40 on-ramp at N.C. 9.
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance; possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and drug equipment violations were reported on May 10 on Rainbow Terrace.
Theft from a motor vehicle was reported on May 10 on the 1000 block of Montreat Road.
Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon and drug equipment violations were reported on May 10 on the 200 block of Rainbow Terrace.
Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, driving with license revoked, drug equipment violations and carrying a concealed weapon were reported on May 10 on the 200 block of Rainbow Terrace.
Simple assault was reported on May 10 on the 200 block of Tabernacle Road.
Robbery was reported on May 11 on South Ridgeway Avenue.
Simple assault was reported on May 11 on the 200 block of Cragmont Road.
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on May 11 on the 100 block of Woodcreek Circle.
Possible breaking and entering was reported on May 12 on the 400 block of Blue Ridge Road.
Damage to property was reported on May 12 on the 100 block of North Fork Road.
Larceny was reported on May 13 on the 100 block of Flat Creek Road.
Felony breaking or entering—no force was reported on May 13 on the 400 block of Lytle Cove Road.
A felony drug offense was reported on May 14 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.
Drug violations and transporting stolen property were reported on May 14 on Sutton Avenue.
Theft from a motor vehicle and damage to personal property were reported on May 14 at Lake Tomahawk.
A felony drug offense was reported on May 15 on the 2000 block of U.S. 70.
Theft from a motor vehicle was reported on May 16 on the 500 block of Padgettown Road.
Arrests
Michael Keith Johnson, 37, of Mills River, was arrested on May 5 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 63 and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Christopher Steele Wright, 22, of Fairview, was arrested on May 6 on Lake Eden Circle and charged with driving with license revoked—not impaired and simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance.
John Lawrence Woody, 35, of Black Mountain, was arrested on May 10 on the 200 block of Rainbow Terrace and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mark Faith Cogdill, 30, of Swannanoa, was arrested on May 10 at the intersection of Montreat Road and Rainbow Terrace and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle without an operator's license.
Chelsey Nicole Rice, 27, of Asheville, was arrested on May 10 on the 200 block of Rainbow Terrace and charged with resisting a public officer.
Kateln Leighann Tallant, 22, of Hendersonville, was arrested on May 10 at the intersection of Montreat Road and Rainbow Terrace and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a controlled substance; felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jonathan Seath Wyatt, 29, of Asheville, was arrested on May 10 on the 200 block of Rainbow Terrace and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon, driving with license revoked—not impaired and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Robert Michael Stillwell, 40, of Black Mountain, was arrested on May 15 on the first block of Circle Drive and charged with violating a protective order.
Kimberly Jean Bartlett, 40, of Swannanoa, was arrested on May 15 on the first block of Jim's Branch Access Road and charged with simple assault.
Matthew Lynn Goldsmith, Sr., 43, of Swannanoa, was arrested on May 15 on the first block of Jim's Branch Access Road and charged with assault on a female.
