The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Possible rabies exposure was reported on March 14, on the 200 block of Varden Place. 

Destruction of property was reported on March 14, on the 700 block of N.C. 9. 

Simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, drug equipment violations and all other offenses were reported on March 14 at the intersection of Blue Ridge Road and Veterans Park Drive. 

Counterfeiting was reported on March 16, on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and child abuse—non-assaultive were reported on March 16, on the 100 block of WNC Shopping Center Drive. 

Identity theft was reported on March 18, on the 700 block of Azalia Drive. 

A felony drug offense was reported on March 18, on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. 

Breaking or entering was reported on March 18, on the first block of Ridge Hill Road. 

Simple assault was reported on March 18, on the 100 block of South Ridgeway Avenue. 

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance; drug equipment violations; driving with license revoked; fictitious tag and driving with no insurance were reported on March 19, on the 600 black of West State Street. 

Larceny was reported on March 20, on the 200 black of N.C. 9. 

Arrests 

Williams Drew Burgess, 28, of Asheville, was arrested on March 10, at the intersection of Prospect Street and North Dougherty Street and charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, failure to yield, open container after consuming alcohol and possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana. 

Bricen Klay Fowler, 20, of Black Mountain, was arrested on March 11, on the 200 block of McCoy Cove Road and charged with sexual battery. 

Eilliott James McDermott, 21, of Black Mountain, was arrested on March 11, on the 100 block of WNC Shopping Center Drive and charged with simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance; felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and littering of less than 15 pounds. 

Noah Vincent Bosen Urbanik, 21, of Black Mountain, was arrested on March 11, on the 100 block of WNC Shopping Center Drive and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance and felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance.  

Robert David Caron, 61, of Cary, was arrested on March 14, on I-40 at exit 59 and charged with second degree trespassing and being intoxicated and disruptive. 

Brandon Keith Morris, 23, of Swannanoa, was arrested on March 14, on the 1800 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of stolen goods. 

Antonio Donte Lynch, 29, of Asheville, was arrested on March 19, on the first block of Fleetwood Lane and charged with breaking or entering, interfering with an electronic monitoring device and resisting a public officer.
