The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

A felony drug offense was reported on March 7, on the 500 block of Old U.S. 70. 

Simple assault was reported on March 7, on the 500 block of Tenth Street. 

Fraud was reported on March 8, on the 100 block of Bright Hope Road. 

Narcotics violations and drug equipment violations were reported on March 9, at the intersection of Tabernacle Road and Old U.S. 70. 

Marijuana paraphernalia possession was reported on March 10, on U.S. 70. 

Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance; drug equipment violations; an open container offense and failure to yield right of way on a left turn were reported at the intersection of Prospect Street and North Dougherty Street. 

Felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance; possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance and drug equipment violations were reported on March 11, on WNC Shopping Center Drive. 

Larceny by an employee was reported on March 12, on the 3000 block of U.S. 70. 

Credit card or ATM fraud was reported on March 12. 

Felony drug offense was reported on March 13, on the 500 block of Buckeye Access Road. 

Theft from a building was reported on March 13, on the 100 block of North Ridgeway Avenue. 

Shoplifting was reported on March 13, on the 3100 block of U.S. 70. 

Arrests 

Jerry Raymond Biesecker, 43, of Asheville, was arrested on March 7, on the first block of Candlelight Drive and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and violating a domestic violence protective order. 

Tammy Elizabeth Black, 42, of Asheville, was arrested on March 13, on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine. 

Joe Travis Watrous, 34, of Asheville, was arrested on March 13, on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance; possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Devon Ryan Duncan, 24, of Swannanoa, was arrested on March 13, on the 500 block of Buckeye Access Road and charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession drug paraphernalia.
