March 14 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Fraud was reported on Feb. 28, on the 100 block of Florida Avenue.
Larceny was reported on Feb. 28, on the 300 block of Cragmont Road.
Possession of methamphetamine was reported on Feb. 28, on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 65.
Breaking & entering was reported on March 1, on the 500 block of Blue Ridge Road.
A felony drug offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses were reported on March 1, on the 2100 block of U.S. 70.
A misdemeanor drug offense was reported on March 1, on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70.
Possession of stolen goods was reported on March 1, on the 400 block of Bee Tree Road.
Larceny was reported on March 2, on the 500 block of N.C. 9.
Two counts of possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia were reported on March 2, on State Street.
Breaking & entering was reported on March 3, on the 100 block of South Park Lane.
Larceny was reported on March 4, on the 600 block of West State Street.
Credit card fraud was reported on March 4, on the 100 block of Brookside Drive.
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on March 4, on the 100 block of Woodland Drive.
Arson was reported on March 4, on the 1200 block of Bee Tree Road.
Possession of a stolen vehicle was reported on March 4, on the 2000 block of U.S. 70.
Fraud was reported on March 4, on the 100 block of Old Apple Wagon Road.
Breaking & entering was reported on March 5, on the 100 block of Vance Avenue.
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported on March 5, on the 100 block of Opal Lane.
Felony drug offense was reported on March 5, on the 2400 block of U.S. 70.
Damage to personal property was reported on March 5, on the 400 block of Rowland Road.
Driving while license revoked was reported on March 6, on Cragmont Road.
Larceny was reported on March 6, on the 100 block of Midland Avenue.
Destruction of property was reported on March 6, on the 500 block of Tenth Street.
Arrests
Kyle James Glenn, 38, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Feb. 23, on I-40 westbound at mile marker 62 and charged with driving with license revoked — not impaired.
Casey Willis Cooke, 36, of Raleigh, was arrested on Feb. 24, on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Graciela Castaneda, 24, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Feb. 24, on Broadway Avenue and charged with simple assault.
Patricia Lynn McMahan, 53, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Feb. 25, on the 800 block of Blue Ridge Road and charged with simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Joann Jones Livingston, 43, of Asheville, was arrested on Feb. 28, on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 65 and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
Hannah Beth Hopey, 32, of Black Mountain, was arrested on March 1, at the intersection of Assembly Drive and Shenandoah Terrace and charged with driving while impaired, failure to maintain lane control, hit and run — failure to stop for property damage and non-assaultive child abuse.
Joseph Michael Devito, 20, of Swannanoa, was arrested on March 1, on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road and charged with possession of stolen goods.
Moira Janel Sheetz, 38, of Asheville, was arrested on March 2, at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Grove Stone Road and charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.
James Fletcher Lytle, 26, of Swannanoa, was arrested on March 2, on the 300 block of Park Street and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Jimmy Eugene Treadway, 37, of Swannanoa, was arrested on March 4, on the 2000 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
