March 7 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Feb. 22, on the 100 block of Bridgestone Road. 

Counterfeiting/forgery was reported on Feb. 22, on the 100 block of Holly Street. 

Motor vehicle theft was reported on Feb. 22, on the 100 block of Dogwood Lane. 

Breaking and entering was reported on Feb. 23, on the 100 block of Genie Avenue.

Driving while license revoked was reported on Feb. 23, on I-40 westbound at mile marker 62.

Possession of a stolen vehicle was reported on Feb. 23, on the 100 block of Old Patton Cove Road. 

Drug violations for heroin and methamphetamine and drug equipment violations were reported on Feb. 24, on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Possession of a stolen vehicle was reported on Feb. 24, on the 2000 block of U.S. 70. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Feb. 24, on the 100 block of Eastwood Avenue. 

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported on Feb. 25, on North Blue Ridge Road. 

Possession of a stolen firearm and drug equipment violations were reported on Feb. 26, on I-40 westbound at mile marker 62.5. 

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on Feb. 26, on the 200 block of Eastwood Avenue. 

Larceny was reported on Feb. 27, on the first block of Cotton Creek Circle.

Drug violations were reported on Feb. 27, on West State Street.

Crime

Arrests

Victoria Leigh Hicks, 22, of Nebo, was arrested on Feb. 16, on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with driving while impaired.

Richard Thomas Hubert, Jr., 48, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Feb. 21, on the first block of Nesbitt Drive and charged with assault. 

David Lee Shuemake, 51, of Candler, was arrested on Feb. 23, on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with a pretrial release violation.

Kasey James Houston Miller, 23, of Weaverville, was arrested on Feb. 24, on the 200 block of U.S. 70 and charged with larceny.

Joey Lee McMahan, 33, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Feb. 26, on the first block of Monk Court and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
