Incidents

Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance was reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 64. 

Driving under the influence was reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 66. 

Drug equipment violations and drug violations were reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 at the eastbound off-ramp. 

Possession of an open container in the passenger area of a motor vehicle and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana were reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 at mile marker 63. 

Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance was reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 64. 

Driving with no operators license was reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 eastbound at exit 66. 

Driving with no operators license was reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 64. 

Driving while license revoked was reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 66. 

Drug violations were reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 62. 

Drug violations were reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 63.

Driving while license revoked was reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 63. 

Driving while license revoked and driving with a fictitious tag was reported on Dec. 6 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 64. 

Breaking or entering was reported on Dec. 7 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. 

Larceny was reported on Dec. 7 on the 100 block of Ponderosa Drive. 

Driving while impaired was reported on Dec. 8 on the 200 block of N.C. 9. 

Larceny was reported on Dec. 8 on the 100 block of Patton Cove Road. 

Two counts of drug violations were reported on Dec. 10 on Grovestone Road. 

Theft from a motor vehicle was reported on Dec. 10 on Greenbriar Road. 

Larceny was reported on Dec. 10 on the 1900 block of U.S. 70. 

Drunk and disruptive was reported on Dec. 11 on the 100 block of Montreat Road. 

An animal bite was reported on Dec. 12 on the 100 block of Walkertown Road. 

Arrests

Kristie Ann Walker, 41, of Hazard, Kentucky, was arrested on Dec. 6 on I-40 eastbound at exit 66 and charged with driving while impaired. 

Billy Ray Ricketts III, 34, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Dec. 6 on the 100 block of Fairway Drive and charged with breaking or entering and domestic criminal trespass. 

Jonathan Allen Buchanan, 49, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Dec. 7 on the 2200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with misdemeanor probation violation. 

Jerry Alvin Jones, Jr. 37, of Asheville, was arrested on Dec. 7 on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with being intoxicated and disruptive. 

Shanae Larae Woody, 39, of Morganton, was arrested on Dec. 8 on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with driving while impaired. 

Miguel Enrique Cowal, 31, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 2200 block of U.S. 70 and charged with misdemeanor child abuse. 

Tammie Raines Sanders, 44, of Old Fort, was arrested on Dec. 12 in Ridgecrest and charged with misdemeanor larceny.
