Dec. 6 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

Incidents

Vandalism was reported on Nov. 22 on the 100 block of High Rock Acres Drive. 

Larceny was reported on Nov. 22 on the 100 block of North Dougherty Street. 

Driving under the influence was reported on Nov. 23 on Luckadoo Lane. 

Driving under the influence was reported on Nov. 23 at the intersection of Blue Ridge Road and Wolf Creek Drive. 

Fraud was reported on Nov. 23 on the 100 block of Ridgecrest Drive.

Drug equipment violations were reported on Nov. 25 on the 3100 block of U.S. 70. 

Larceny was reported on Nov. 25 on the 200 block of Swannanoa Avenue. 

Driving under the influence and driving with an open container were reported on Nov. 26 on South Blue Ridge Road. 

Possession of a stolen vehicle was reported on Nov. 27 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. 

Possible rabies exposure was reported on Nov. 27 on the 300 block of Tabernacle Road. 

Shoplifting was reported on Nov. 28 on the 200 block of West State Street. 

Driving while license revoked was reported on Nov. 28 on West State Street. 

Arrests

Brittany Holly Wheeler, 27, of Old Fort, was arrested on Nov. 17 on the 1100 block of Montreat Road and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. 

Kara Jeanne DeCoste, 34, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Nov. 18 on the 200 block of North Fork Road and charged with simple assault and resisting public officers.

Darrell Edwin Lytle, 55, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Nov. 18 on the 100 block of Cragmont Road and charged with driving while impaired and speeding. 

Ralph James Massey, 59, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Nov. 19 at the intersection of Flat Creek Road and Rainbow Lane and charged with two counts of assault on a government official or employee, being intoxicated and disruptive and resisting public officers. 

John Edward Suttles, 56, of Morganton, was arrested on Nov. 19 at the intersection of Blue Ridge Road and N.C. 9 and charged with driving while impaired. 

James Ezray Lytle, Jr., 52, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Nov. 20 on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70 East and charged with selling or delivering cocaine. 

Andrew Ross Fickel, 39, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Nov. 23 on the first block of Kitzies Court and charged with driving while impaired. 

Stephanie Leighann Harris, 24, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Nov. 24 on first block of Yow Drive and charged with simple assault and two counts of misdemeanor probation violation. 

Brandon Keith Morris, 23, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Nov. 27 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of up to half an ounce of marijuana.
