Nov. 22 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Larceny was reported on Nov. 8 on the 200 block of Tabernacle Road. 

Burglary was reported on Nov. 8 on the first block of Blue Ridge Assembly Drive. 

Counterfeiting or forgery was reported on Nov. 9 on the 200 block of N.C. 9. 

Simple assault was reported on Nov. 9 on the 100 block of Belle Street. 

Counterfeiting or forgery was reported on Nov. 9 on the 200 block of N.C. 9. 

Burglary was reported on Nov. 9 on the 100 block of North Fork Road. 

Simple assault was reported on Nov. 9 on the first block of Luckadoo Lane. 

Traffic offenses were reported on Nov. 9 on the 100 block of Buckeye Cove Road. 

Simple assault was reported on Nov. 10 on the 100 block of East Top Drive. 

Shoplifting was reported on Nov. 11 on the 3000 block of U.S. 70. 

Felony eluding arrest was reported on Nov. 11 on the 100 block of Superior Way. 

Simple assault was reported on Nov. 12 on the 1400 block of North Fork Road. 

Driving with license revoked and drug equipment violations were reported on Nov. 12 on N.C. 9. 

Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance was reported on Nov. 12 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 62. 

Shoplifting was reported on Nov. 13 on the 3000 block of U.S. 70. 

Credit or ATM card fraud was reported on Nov. 13 on the 100 block of Campbell Street. 

Driving with license revoked was reported on Nov. 13 on Terry Estate Drive. 

Drug violations, drug equipment violations and weapon law violations were reported on Nov. 13 on I-40 westbound near mile marker 61. 

Larceny was reported on Nov. 14 on the 300 block of Flat Creek Road. 

Arrests 

Ralph Michael Hollie II, 56, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Nov. 8 on the first block of Patton Cove Road. 

Krystel Felicia Ruff, 30, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Nov. 8 on on I-40 westbound at exit 64 and charged with obtaining property under false pretense. 

Alden Penland, Jr., 53, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Nov. 9 on the 100 block of Belle Street and charged with assault on a female. 

James Marcus Clanton, 53, of Candler, was arrested on Nov. 9 on the 100 block of Montreat Road and charged with violating a protective order. 

Daniel Justin Greer, 31, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Nov. 10 on the first block of East Top Drive. 

Karissa Michelle Ortiz, 26, of Asheville, was arrested on Nov. 13 on the 2000 block of U.S. 70 and charged with two counts of simple assault.  

Samantha Ruby Meyers, 27, of Asheville, was arrested on Nov. 13 on the 1900 block of U.S. 70 and charged with felony larceny, financial card theft and possession of counterfeit instruments.
