Oct. 25 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

An animal bite was reported on Oct. 12 on the 100 block of Dalya Road. 

An animal bite was reported on Oct. 13 on the 500 block of Rock Creek Road. 

Destruction of property was reported on Oct. 14 on the 200 block of McCoy Cove Road. 

Misdemeanor larceny was reported on Oct. 14 on the 100 block of Laurel Circle. 

Theft from a motor vehicle was reported on Oct. 15 on Swannanoa Avenue. 

Identity theft and probation violation were reported on Oct. 15 on N.C. 9. 

Shoplifting and trespassing were reported on Oct. 17 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Possession of marijuana was reported on Oct. 17 on the 200 block of N.C. 9. 

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported on Oct. 18 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Larceny of prescription medication was reported on Oct. 18 on the 100 block of Oaken Hill Place. 

Crime

Arrests

Timothy James Stark, 39, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Oct. 7 on West State Street and charged with driving while impaired. 

Josie Dakota Kuntz, 25, of Asheville, was arrested on Oct. 7 at the intersection of Old U.S. 70 and Flat Creek Road and charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny and simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance. 

Chad Livingston White, 24, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Oct. 7 on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with resisting public officers. 

Daniel Ethan Alexai RObinson, 22, of Asheville, was arrested on Oct. 8 on the first block of Goldmont Street and charged with having fictitious or altered tag or registration and carrying  a concealed gun. 

Richard McKinley Redmon, Jr., 47, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Oct. 9 on the 300 block of Flat Creek Road and charged with assault on a female. 

Austin Ray Smith, 29, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Oct. 13 at the intersection of Bee Tree Road and Cherry Laurel Lane and charged with two counts of financial card theft and misdemeanor larceny.  

Floyd Gene Mynear, 39, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Oct. 15 on the 100 block of Harrison Avenue and charged with communicating threats.
