Aug. 30 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Misdemeanor breaking or entering - no force was reported on Aug. 16 on the 400 block of Buckeye Cove Road.
Destruction of property was reported on Aug. 17 on the 100 block of Taylor Street.
Larceny was reported on Aug. 18 on the 500 block of N.C. 9.
Counterfeiting was reported on Aug. 18 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70.
An animal bite was reported on Aug. 18 on the 100 block of River Creek Place.
A felony drug offense was reported on Aug. 19 on the 100 block of Summit Drive.
Simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance was reported on Aug. 20 on U.S. 70.
Counterfeiting was reported on Aug. 20 on the 200 block of N.C. 9.
Burglary was reported on Aug. 20 on the 100 block of North Fork Road.
A misdemeanor drug offense was reported on Aug. 20 on the 2700 block of U.S. 70.
Simple assault was reported on Aug. 22 on the first block of Bartlett Avenue.
Counterfeiting was reported on Aug. 22 on the 100 block of Flat Creek Road.
Arrests
Renae Pamela McFall, 45, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Aug. 11 at the intersection of North Fork Road and Montreat Road and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of a marijuana paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a public officer and three counts of larceny by an employee.
Justin Patrick Adams, 37, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Aug. 12 and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance on jail premises.
Alexander Paxton Czarnecki, 19, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Cragmont Road and Blue Ridge Road and charged with shoplifting and resisting public officers.
Gloria Gay Ball, 56, of Marion, was arrested on Aug. 15 on North Fork Road and charged with driving while impaired.
Jeremy David Hammond, 42, of Wildwood, Florida, was arrested on Aug. 17 on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with writing a worthless check.
