July 26 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on July 12 on the 3200 block of North Fork Left Fork.
Possession of marijuana paraphernalia and driving with license revoked was reported on July 12 on the 500 block of N.C. 9.
Burglary was reported on July 13 on the 200 block of North Fork Road.
Driving with license revoked was reported on July 13 on U.S. 70.
Burglary was reported on July 14 on the 800 block of Laurel Avenue.
Burglary was reported on July 14 on the 100 block of Atkins Drive.
Obtaining property under false pretense, receiving stolen property, simple assault and trespass of real property were reported on July 15 on the first block of Kappa Loop.
Driving with license revoked was reported on July 15 on U.S. 70.
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on July 17 on the 100 block of Old Patton Hill Road.
Two drug violations were reported on July 18 on the 300 block of Genesis Circle.
Destruction of property was reported on July 18 on the 200 block of Davis Drive.
Driving with license revoked was reported on July 18 on Hutchins Road.
A fictitious tag was reported on July 18 on the first block of Goldmont Street.
An animal bite was reported on July 18 on the 100 block of Getaway Drive.
Arrests
Joe Chastiyn Banks, 34, of Old Fort, was arrested on July 7 on the first block of Byrd Road and charged with possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Richard Arthur Johnson III, 24, of Asheville, was arrested on July 8 on the 800 block of Montreat Road and charged with driving with license revoked - not impaired, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
